The Project
5 million people live without access to electricity in rural areas of the Amazon Rainforest
Where 90% of families depend on kerosene lamps to light their nights.
Families inhale the toxic gases produced by kerosene combustion, causing respiratory disease.
Solar energy is abundant and offers the possibility to change the lives of many people and protect the environment.
To avoid the use of kerosene, Satorisan and Light for Humanity join forces by distributing solar lamps in the Amazon, taking care of the health of thousands of people while taking care of the largest lung on the planet.
